Slat Conveyors

1. Slat is a carrying member in slat conveyor. Slat conveyor consists two or no. of chain strands depending upon size and weight of material to be carried. These chains are special chains with attachments to mount slats. Slats can be manufactured in M.S., S.S, Wood , Nylon, PP etc. If required these slats can be fitted with fixtures to carry item in required orientation for automation or assembly purpose etc.

Specially designed slats can be used for dragging material through guided path. Conveyor with suitably placed plates mounted perpendicular to direction of movement are generally used for moving bag gase, sugarcane trash etc.

Long arm, projected well over surface of chain can push steel billets along guided path. It is called as dog conveyor.
